Silicone Rubber Heaters

Silicone Rubber heaters can contain either a wire wound element or an etched foil element. These can be bonded to a heat sink with pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA), factory vulcanized to a heat sink or RTV. Vulcanization is recommended as it requires no adhesive and the bond has the temperature capability of the silicone rubber. Being inexpensive, it provides a highly reliable way of mounting a flexible heater.

Beeco polyimide polymer and a product of Beeco. This material, in film form, offers many design features such as excellent dielectric strength in very thin

cross sections (3,000 volts per mil). BEEHE offers etched foil heaters insulated in silicone with two different bonding systems, acrylic bonds and FEP. The FEP has a temperature capability of up to 500F and the acrylic is capable of temperatures of 250F. DuPont TM Kapton R heater offer many design opportunities and can be combined in assemblies along with wiring harnesses, sensors and connectors to provide our customers with assemblies ready to install in their equipment.

This heaters can be installed with pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA), they can also be FEP or acrylic bonded directly to heat sinks at the factory. The proprietary process installation offers excellent bonding and good heat transfer capability.
